7 Things To Do The Morning Of Your Wedding

7 Things To Do The Morning Of Your Wedding

How you begin your day is often evocative of how you’ll enjoy your day, for example if I don’t get my regular eight heavenly hours and roll out on the wrong side you can bet your bottom dollar I’m not going to be a ray of fabulous sunshine, which is why I think it’s especially important to prep with these 7 things to do the morning of your wedding.

1. SLUMBER PARTY!

Book a hotel room and spend your last night as a single lad or lady with your friends - wear face masks, watch a fun movie (I highly recommend anything from John Hughes), reminisce, laugh, and shed happy tears  - Just remember to schedule in your 8 hours of shut eye!

2. START THE DAY IN THE RIGHT MENTAL SPACE

Get your guys or gals together and enjoy a twenty minute meditation or an easy yoga flow. You can have a teacher come to you, find a class nearby or even have a particularly fit friend teach you a few moves - the day will speed up quickly and you will want to soak up as much of it as possible and that requires being centered and present.

3. MAKE SURE YOU EAT

I might sound like a nagging parent but please have a big breakfast. Chances are you’ll be drinking a lot of alcohol throughout the day, however the next meal might not be until you’re sitting down for dinner.

4. PAMPER YO SELF

Hair, make up, the whole sha-bang! Sit back, relax and enjoy the VIP treatment.

5. TAKE GETTING READY PHOTOS

Slip on those matching silk robes, pj separates, t shirts, mens shirts, yoga pants, chicken suits - WHATEVER IT IS document it, make sure your photographer is there to capture all the giggles. You may be marrying your honey but chances are that your mates loved you first.

6. TURN YOUR MORN INTO A PARTY

Yes, you should absolutely have a glass of champagne or fancy whisky for a celebratory toast (just don’t have ten of them).

7. CREATE A PLAYLIST

Pick a mix of old and new songs that pay homage to your friends. If this isn’t something you feel confidant doing relegate the task to a friend whose taste in music you love!

Happy Dreaming.
