Green Wedding | Tips For An Eco-Friendly Wedding
Weddings are sadly some of the most wasteful events. However I have a few tips on how you can minimise your carbon footprint for your big day!
Ring shop responsibly
When picking out your engagement ring make every effort to ensure you know the diamonds origins, you don’t want a blood diamond to represent your forever love! Even better, consider a vintage ring instead!
The True Gem Company specialise in colored stone, lab grown diamonds, and moissanite
Only Hire or use vintage items
This one is a no brainer, and their are some INCREDIBLE companies who do just this, in fact you’ll likely find their range of products more inspiring and cost effective. Double whammy!
Ask your guests to make a donation on your behalf
If you’re not asking your guests for gifts or moola you may consider asking them to make a donation to a charitable cause of your choosing instead.
You can make friends with salad!
Vegetarian and vegan food have upped their game in the last decade, and their are incredible caterers who specialise in just this. As a bonus your guests will thank you for providing them with their 5 servings of veggies!
You know those little things your guests usually leave behind anyway? I think you’ll find not a single human would leave behind a cookie!
Donate your flowers
You can ask your wedding party, florist or wedding planner to donate your flowers to a senior center, or hospital, that way your blooms are enjoyed long after the last guests leaves.
Don’t be a tosser
A tosser of rice or paper that is! Rose petals or a dried flower alternative is just as gorgeous!
